2027 Rules & Regulations

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE RULES BELOW COULD RESULT IN POINT DEDUCTIONS AND/OR INELIGIBLE FOR HIGH POINT OVERALLS.

General Information

All entries must be submitted online through the Studio Center by a registered dance studio. Independent entries are not permitted. Every entry must be submitted by a Studio Owner or Director, who is responsible for agreeing to the Release of Liability during the registration process.

Competition registration is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and is limited by the amount of performance time available at each event. Once an event is announced as Sold Out, a $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required to secure registration. If your outstanding balance is less than $1,000, please contact our Financial Department for assistance.

All performances must be registered no later than 60 days prior to the competition. Registration is not considered complete until full payment has been received. Entries with outstanding balances will not be processed.

Personal checks and studio checks are not accepted. Any payments made after the published payment deadline must be made by credit card only.

All balances must be paid in full before the competition. Payments will not be accepted at the event.

If entries are canceled after registration, all deposits and entry fees for that event are non-refundable.

KAR reserves the right to adjust the competition schedule, add competition days, or relocate an event if necessary due to scheduling needs or unforeseen circumstances.

KAR also reserves the right to cancel any competition that does not meet the minimum entry requirements. If KAR cancels an event due to insufficient entries, a health pandemic, natural disaster, or other unforeseen emergency, all entry fees will be refunded. Once an event has been confirmed and the required minimum number of entries has been met, entry fees are non-refundable.

PHOTO & VIDEO STUDIO PACKAGE

Kids Artistic Revue is proud to continue with the All Inclusive Photo & Video Studio Package for the 2027 Regional Tour! For the affordable price of $35 per dancer or $45 per family (siblings only), your studio will enjoy ALL your Regional Photos and Videos. The fee is required per dancer and will be due 14 days prior to the start of competition. Parents can access their dancers’ photos and videos inside their Parent Center online. Photos and Videos will be available within 5 days after the completion of the competition.

Studio Owners/Directors: Please make sure that after completing your registration, and before paying your competition fees, all parents create their Parent Center accounts and link them to your studio. This step is essential to ensure their media is correctly connected. If you have already paid and parents link their siblings before the event, your studio will receive a credit for the difference in the media fee through the Family Package. This credit will appear in your Studio Center “Virtual Wallet.” This media fee credit is non-refundable. If families wait until after the event to link siblings, no discount will be applied and the Media Package will be billed at the full price of $35 per dancer. It is very important that families sign up and link their account to your studio in advance. Please also instruct them to download their photos and videos promptly, as we periodically clear space on our servers and media from past seasons may no longer be available.

Multiple Regional Event Discount - Dancers who compete at multiple KAR Regional competitions do not have to pay an additional media fee! Once a dancer has paid the 2027 KAR Regional media fee of $35 or $45 per family (siblings only), any KAR Regional event they attend thereafter will be complimentary.

National Finals - The Photo & Video Studio Package will be a separate fee for the 2027 National Finals. For the affordable price of $35 per dancer or $45 per family (siblings only), your studio will enjoy ALL your National Photos and Videos including the Star Showcase. The fee is required per dancer and will be due 14 days prior to the start of competition. Parents can access their dancers’ photos and videos inside their Parent Center online. Photos and Videos will be available 7-10 days after the completion of the competition. The Star Showcase video will be available 30 days after the completion of the competition.

PHOTO/VIDEO RULES & REGULATIONS

Still photography and video recording are permitted only for your own dancer(s) during performances. Photography or videography of dancers from other studios is strictly prohibited. Professional camera equipment, tripods, monopods, selfie sticks, or any equipment that obstructs the view of others are not permitted.

The use of any electronic device for photography or videography is strictly prohibited in dressing rooms and restrooms.

Failure to comply with this policy may result in confiscation of all unauthorized photos and/or videos, removal of the recordings from the device, and/or the individual being escorted from the event at the discretion of KAR. It is the responsibility of the Studio Owner/Director to inform their dancers, parents, and spectators of this policy.

All contestants grant permission for KAR to photograph and record their performances for promotional purposes, including advertising, livestreams, broadcasts, and social media.

TYPES OF ENTRIES

Solos

Duets/Trio (Duets and Trios will compete against each other)

Small Group (4-9 performers)

Large Group (10-19 performers)

Line (20 or more performers)

Super Line (15 or more performers – may comprise of performers from all levels and ages including TEACHERS / ADULTS)

Production (15 or more performers – may comprise of performers from all levels and ages including TEACHERS / ADULTS)

Division types are determined by the actual number of participants competing on stage at the competition, regardless of participants originally registered. An entry that changes its division type during the competition may be subject to compete as Adjudication Only at the Competition Director’s discretion.

*KAR Exclusive empowers smaller dance studios by providing a unique and supportive platform that celebrates the art of dance. Designed specifically for studios with 75 or fewer competitive dancers, and limited to no more than 75 performances, this exclusive setting ensures every dancer has their moment to shine.

LEVEL PLACEMENT GUIDELINE

The appropriate level of performance (INSPIRATIONAL, PRIMARY, SECONDARY, INTERMEDIATE and ELITE) should be determined by using the LEVELING and TECHNICAL SKILL SET GUIDELINES located below. TEACHER/ADULT are not considered a LEVEL. They are considered a COMBINED category.

**Please keep in mind the following variables may affect level placement: Technical skill sets Years of dance experience Years of competition experience Magnitude, variety and quantity of technical training hours Dancer’s capacity of individual ability, retention and work ethic Regional differences of choreography, style, creativity and artistic expression

***IMPORTANT*** A performer's level may NOT be adjusted after the release of the FINAL SCHEDULE. The only exceptions to this rule include:

1.) The judging panel deems a performance to be promoted to the next level on site at the competition with a Level Promotion.

2.) The original combination of dancers in the performance changes on site, which therefore alters the level of a performance.

At National Finals, any modifications to a performance that alters the original level, High Point age division and/or performance type listed in the final schedule will be deemed Adjudication Only (extenuating circumstances will be left to Directors discretion).

LEVEL PROMOTION

KAR is excited to continue Level Promotions! Dancers may be promoted to a higher level with the recommendation of our judging panel and Competition Director. At every Regional Competition, the esteemed judging panel will have the ability to promote dancers to a higher level based on the overall skill set, technical ability and overall performance quality.

If a Soloist is promoted to a higher level, all performances in which the promoted dancer is registered must be updated with the Level Calculator.

If a change occurs to a promoted performance that violates any of the Leveling Guidelines, the performance will compete for Adjudication Only.

If a performance is promoted and the new division has not taken place, the promoted performance may re-compete in its appropriate division and will still be eligible for Overall High Point Awards.

If a division has already completed and presented Overall High Point Awards, the promoted performance will be deemed as Adjudication Only and remain ineligible for Overall High Point Awards.

All promoted performances must compete the remainder of the Regional season as well as National Finals in their new promoted level.

If a dancer is promoted to a higher level in which their age division is not eligible, the dancer will compete in the lowest eligible age division offered in the promoted level.

***All decisions of the judging panel and Competition Director are final and cannot be contested.

Level Promotions are only available at Regional Competitions. There will be no Level Promoting at National Finals, unless a performance is coming from outside of the United States.

Voluntary Level Promotion - If a performer voluntarily promotes themselves to a higher level, all performances in which the promoted dancer is registered must be updated with the Level Calculator. All Awards and Titles from the original level are null and void for National Finals registration. The dancer must re-qualify in their promoted level in order to be eligible to compete in their promoted level for any National Finals.

LEVEL CALCULATOR

Performances containing dancers from multiple levels must follow the LEVELING SYSTEM to determine the performance level. A maximum of 3 consecutive levels is allowed for a Group performance. Each level has been assigned a numeric value that will be used to determine the performance level.

AGE DIVISIONS

Age divisions are as follows: 5 & under, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 & Above.

AGE DIVISIONS ARE DETERMINED AS OF THE JANUARY 1ST CUT OFF DATE. The 2026 November and December competitions are considered the beginning of the 2027 competition season. Therefore, the registered ages of all entries (Title entries included) must be bumped up to the dancer’s age as of January 1, 2027.

The average age of the dancers’ registered in a performance will determine the age division for Duet/Trios, Groups, Lines, Super Lines and Productions. When determining the average age of a performance, always drop the decimal. Nonconsecutive Level Duet/Trios will compete in the age division of the oldest competitor. Contestants will be responsible for showing proof of age to the Competition Director should a question arise.

For National Finals, substitution of dancers from the Regional qualifying entry is permitted in all divisions/categories except Solos. Performances must consist of at least 75% of the original dancers from the Regional qualifying entry. When substituting dancers in a performance, be aware that any modifications may change the level or average age. All music must remain the same.

CATEGORIES OF DANCE

***In the following dance categories, Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Clogging, Modern, and Song and Dance, a maximum of three acro/gymnastic elements is allowed. Dancers competing in the ELITE level are not subject to this limit in these categories, with the exception of Ballet and Pointe.

An acro/gymnastic element is defined as movements that pass through or stop at a fully inverted (upside down) position with both feet off the floor (the torso and or hips passing or stopping directly over the top of one’s head/shoulders.) Acro/gymnastic elements do NOT include transitional movements such as forward, backward and shoulder rolls. A lift is defined as being fully supported by another dancer with any body part.

Acro/Gymnastic Element Clarification:

• A tumbling pass is considered 1 acro/gymnastic element.
• If all dancers perform the same element at the same time and on the same count, it’s considered 1 element. This would also include a canon or roll off in consecutive intervals. If there is a lapse of time in-between the elements, then it’s considered multiple elements.
• Acro/gymnastic elements performed within a lift involving multiple dancers are not counted as acro skills, provided the dancer performing the acrobatic movement is fully supported by one or more partners from the beginning to the end of the movement. If the dancer is not fully supported throughout the entire lift, the movement will be considered 1 acro trick and will be counted toward the category and level limitations and may result in a 5 point deduction.
• If a performance violates any of the acro/gymnastic rules, the act will not be recategorized. A 5 point deduction will be applied to the total cumulative score.

BALLET – Performance must contain ballet technique incorporating formal classical movements. No pointe shoes are allowed in the ballet category. No acro/gymnastic elements are permitted (including ELITE level dancers).

POINTE – Performance must use pointe shoes and consist of pointe/toe technique. PRIMARY level dancers may not compete in this category. No acro/gymnastic elements are permitted (including ELITE level dancers). Dancers may use rosin which must be self-contained and cannot be applied directly on the marley floor. If a performance is requesting to use rosin, KAR must know upon registration so that schedule adjustments can be made to clean up the marley residue post-performance.

CLOGGING – Performance must use clogging shoes and consists of clogging technique. Up to three acro/gymnastic elements are permissible.

JAZZ – Performance must consist of jazz technique. Up to three acro/gymnastic elements are permissible.

TAP – Performance must use taps on shoes and display tap technique. Up to three acro/gymnastic elements are permissible.

LYRICAL – Performance must have dynamic emotion and expressive movements demonstrated with fluidity, balance, extension and control. Up to three acro/gymnastic elements are permissible.

MODERN – Performance must consist of interpretive movements using modern technique such as natural movements focused on the “core” of the body with coordination between breathing and movement as well as a dancer’s relationship with the floor. Up to three acro/gymnastic elements are permissible.

***In the above categories, lip-syncing and talking should be kept to a minimum, so as not to portray a character.

SONG AND DANCE – Performance must consist of both singing and dancing of any type. KAR will provide ONE handheld microphone. No additional sound equipment or microphones may be used or connected to KAR’s sound system. Up to three acro/gymnastic elements are permissible.

** In the following categories, any number of acro/gymnastic elements are permissible **

CONTEMPORARY JAZZ – Performance is a complement to the traditional jazz technique with an infusion of modern dance, contemporary exploration, and an emphasis on freedom of expression. Any number of acro/gymnastic elements are permissible.

BALLROOM - Performance that consists of core elements of ballroom repertoire showcasing Traditional or Latin techniques. Any number of acro/gymnastic elements are permissible.

ACRO/GYMNASTICS – Performance must use a combination of dance technique and acro/gymnastic movements, such as walkovers, aerials, handsprings, etc. Any number of acro/gymnastic elements are permissible.

CONTEMPORARY – Performance must consist of a combination of modern dance, lyrical and classical ballet elements. Any number of acro/gymnastic elements are permissible.

TRADITIONAL/CULTURAL – Performances which are to a significant degree bound by tradition with strong cultural roots. Any number of acro/gymnastic elements are permissible.

POM-PON – Performance using pom-pons incorporating precise and definite movements. Any number of acro/gymnastic elements are permissible.

NOVELTY/CHARACTER – Performance featuring any style of dance that is novelty or theme based and portrays a recognizable character. Any number of acro/gymnastic elements are permissible.

MUSICAL THEATER – Performance featuring any style of dance from a Broadway, Movie or Television Show. Any number of acro/gymnastic elements are permissible.

HIP HOP – Performance demonstrating street style jazz incorporating hip hop choreography. Any number of acro/gymnastic elements and breakdancing are permissible.

OPEN – Performance demonstrating any style of dance or a combination of dance styles. Any number of acro/gymnastic elements are permissible.

SUPER LINE – Performance must contain at least 15 dancers incorporating any style of dance or combination of dance styles. This category may comprise performers from all levels and ages including TEACHERS / ADULTS. Super Line performances can portray a theme or style of dance, but should not portray a storyline, plot or narrative. Each Super Line has a 5 minute time limit for performance and is allotted a maximum of 4 minutes total for set-up and removal of props. Please remember, for safety purposes, all props (hand-held or freestanding) are restricted to a maximum height of 15 feet. The use of safety railings is recommended. Dancers CANNOT perform more than 6 feet above the stage floor on any props. If a performance violates the safety prop height rule, the performance is no longer eligible for Overall High Points. Any number of acro/gymnastic elements are permissible.

Example Super Line: WATCH VIDEO.

PRODUCTION – Performance must contain at least 15 dancers incorporating any style of dance or combination of dance styles. This category may comprise performers from all levels and ages including TEACHERS / ADULTS. Production performances MUST portray a storyline, plot or narrative throughout, resembling that of a film, book, play, musical, etc. Props are mandatory and must be hand-held or free standing. Each Production has an 8 minute time limit for performance and is allotted a maximum of 5 minutes total for set-up and removal of props. Please remember, for safety purposes, all props (hand-held or freestanding) are restricted to a maximum height of 15 feet. The use of safety railings is recommended. Dancers CANNOT perform more than 6 feet above the stage floor on any props. If a performance violates the safety prop height rule, the performance is no longer eligible for Overall High Point. Any number of acro/gymnastic elements are permissible.

TEACHER / ADULT CATEGORY – Any performance that contains a teacher and/or adult 20 years of age or above must compete in the TEACHER / ADULT category. A student teacher age 19 and under must compete in one of the other competitive levels. All TEACHER / ADULT category performances are ineligible for Overall High Point Awards and Gift Certificates.

PROP AND SET RULES

Please note that prop storage and mobility of props are contingent upon the venue space provided. Props are expected to be loaded in and out of the venue on the same day they are used. Storing props in the wings or backstage is not allowed. KAR will not be responsible for props left overnight or unattended. All props MUST be labeled with the studio name for identification purposes. Any special requests for the assembly or storage of props must be discussed with the Competition Director upon arrival at the competition venue.

Props are acceptable if they do not alter the backdrop, wings or the surface of the marley floor and can be easily removed following the completion of the act. If the stage is not completely cleaned in the time permitted and/or the stage is not returned to its original pre-performance condition, point deductions will occur.

For safety purposes, all props (hand-held or freestanding) are restricted to a maximum height of 15 feet. The use of safety railings is recommended. Dancers CANNOT perform or stand more than 6 feet above the stage floor on any props. If a performance violates the safety prop height rule, the performance is no longer eligible for Overall High Point Awards. Final Decision will be at the discretion of the Competition Director. Hanging backdrops may not be used. Helium balloons are only allowed if they are weighted and if permitted by the contracted venue. There is no guarantee that power outlets will be available for props that require electricity. Battery-operated props are recommended. If the weight of a prop exceeds the maximum weight limit for a stage, or if the Competition Director feels the weight of the prop is a safety hazard, the dancers will not be allowed to use the prop. When sliding props or moving scenery, do not alter or damage the backdrop, wings or marley dance floor. If the backdrop, wings or marley floor is damaged, the Studio Owner/Director will be responsible for its replacement.

IMPORTANT: PROHIBITED & ACCEPTABLE PROPS

PROHIBITED PROPS:

• For the safety of all dancers and the integrity of the stage, the following props are prohibited at KAR:

• Items such as fire (including candles, matches, and lighters), fireworks (including sparklers), explosives, weapons, swords, knives, guns (including toy versions that shoot projectiles or have sharp edges) and the use of animals are not allowed under any circumstances. Hoverboards, trampolines, and motorized vehicles are also not permitted.
• Additionally, props or materials that could damage or alter the stage, backdrop, wings, or marley floor are not allowed. This includes any form of liquid, gel, powder, paint (wet or grease), fake blood, glitter (loose or applied to costume/props), chalk, sand, flour, dirt, sawdust, candy, icing, crushed cork, ashes, bubble machines, haze or fog machines, dry ice, and aerosol sprays such as hairspray or paint. Strobe lights and glass objects are also prohibited.
• All props must be made of non-toxic materials, and no substances may be used on stage that create a mess or hazard. Covering the dance floor to place or set a prohibited item is not permitted. Any routine using these types of materials may be subject to point deductions or ineligible for overall high point awards at KAR’s discretion. Please contact the KAR office if you need further clarification on our prop and set rules.

ACCEPTABLE PROPS:

• The following items are permitted, as long as the stage is cleaned and cleared in the time permitted and does not delay the competition. Failure to comply will result in a 5 point deduction.

• feathers (NO down feathers), petals (real or artificial), leaves (artificial only), loose confetti (1 inch or larger-no confetti cannons) and loose streamers (no streamer cannons). For safety purposes, these acceptable items may not be ejected or launched as projectiles from any sort of mechanism.

• Special note regarding rosin: Rosin must be self-contained and cannot be applied directly on the marley floor. If a performance is requesting to use rosin, KAR must know upon registration so that schedule adjustments can be made to clean up the marley residue post-performance. There may be point deductions if KAR is not notified about the rosin usage and the marley floor is affected during the act.

PROP TIME LIMITS

Solos, Duet/Trios, Small Groups, Large Groups and Lines are expected to set-up and remove props in a total of 3 minutes cumulative. (ex: 2 minutes set up and 1 minute removal).

Super Lines are expected to set-up props and remove props in a total of 4 minutes cumulative. (ex: 3 minutes set up and 1 minute removal).

Productions are expected to set-up props and remove props in a total of 5 minutes cumulative. (ex: 4 minutes set up and 1 minute removal).

An additional 1 minute total for set-up/removal of props may be purchased prior to the competition for a flat fee of $25.00. Solos, Duet/Trios are not permitted extended prop set-up/removal time.

If prop set-up/removal exceeds these time limits, a 5 point deduction will be applied to the cumulative score.

PERFORMANCE TIME LIMITS

Solos and Duets/Trios (2 minutes 45 seconds)

Small Groups (3 minutes)

Large Groups & Lines (4 minutes)

Super Lines (5 minutes)

Productions (8 minutes)

Extended performance time is available for an additional fee:

1 minute for a fee of $3.00 per performer

2 minutes for a fee of $4.00 per performer

3 minutes for a fee of $5.00 per performer

4 minutes for a fee of $6.00 per performer

Extended time is only available for Small Groups, Large Groups, Lines, Super Lines and Productions. Point Deductions may occur if performances go over the permitted performance time limit.

PERFORMANCE RULES

Performances are expected to perform in the order of the final competition schedule unless special permission is granted by the Competition Director for costume changes. Dancers are only permitted 3 acts for a costume change. Each studio is allotted a maximum of TWO 5 minute “Performance Holds” during the duration of the competition. “Performance Holds” are for Studio Owners/Directors to postpone a performance for any reason due to costume changes or emergency situations in which the act is not ready to compete at their scheduled time. If a studio exceeds the allotted 2 “Performance Holds” within a competition weekend, a 5 point deduction will be applied to each delayed performance thereafter upon the Competition Director’s discretion.

Dancers who do not perform within 10 acts of their scheduled time will be ineligible for Overall High Point Awards. The only exception to this rule is if the KAR Customer Care Specialists or the Competition Director has pre-approved the delay.

Dancers must perform their ENTIRE act on the stage. Performers may not enter or exit the stage from anywhere other than the wings. Starting, dancing, and/or ending the performance in the audience is not permitted. Jumping off the front of the stage is not allowed. Throwing items into the audience or items thrown from the audience is not permitted. Running in front of the judges’ table or approaching the panel of judges is also not allowed. No gifts can be presented to the judges.

For safety purposes, props and performers should never come within 1 foot of the stage edge. Special stage or house lighting will not be provided for any performance. Rehearsing on stage prior to the start of a competition or after the completion of a competition day is strictly prohibited. At no time are teachers, parents or dancers allowed to practice, rehearse or meet on stage. Failure to comply with the above performance rules may result in point deductions.

Incomplete performances may be scored lower by the judging panel. If a performance is not completed, the judges' scores are final, and the routine is ineligible for High Point Awards. A performance may only be re-adjudicated if a technical error occurred on KAR's behalf during the original performance. Any re-performance is at the discretion of the Competition Director and subject to schedule availability.

In order to provide a fair opportunity and level playing field for all performances, it is highly discouraged for teachers/parents to physically pre-set or arrange the placement of performers on the stage and/or coach from the sidelines. All participants on stage during the performance (seen or not seen by the judging panel, *including teachers or parents participating in the wings by holding or distributing props*) should be included in the total number of registered performers. If these actions occur during a performance, the act will be scored lower by the judging panel.

ADD-IN PERFORMANCE FEE

Each add-in performance at an event will incur an additional $10 administrative fee per performance to link the Photo & Video package to each Parent Account. All add-in performances after the release of the final schedule, are for Adjudication Only and are ineligible for High Point Awards and Title Competition

COMPETITION SCHEDULES AND MODIFICATION TO PERFORMANCES

Studio Owners/Directors are responsible for ensuring that all entries, performers, and performance details are accurate in the Studio Center before the final competition schedule is released.

Performance Modifications

Performance changes should be made before the final schedule is published whenever possible. If a change becomes necessary after arriving at the competition, the Competition Director must be notified immediately.

A $10 Performance Modification Fee will apply to each of the following changes made at the event:

• Music file submitted onsite
• Act name change
• Category change
• Addition of performer(s)
• Removal or replacement of performer(s)*
• Level change*
• Age division change*
• Division type change*

*Performance changes resulting from unforeseen circumstances, such as illness or injury, may be exempt from the modification fee at the discretion of the Competition Director.

Competition Schedule

A Tentative Schedule will be available in the Studio Center approximately 2 weeks prior to the competition.

The Final Competition Schedule will be posted approximately 5 days prior to the event.

Once the final schedule has been released, no additional performance modifications will be accepted unless approved by the Competition Director due to unforeseen circumstances.

REQUIRED/MANDATORY MUSIC MANAGER UPLOAD

KAR uses an electronic music file upload system for all performances. Studios have access to their own Music Manager upload page within their Studio Center on the KAR website. It is mandatory for all studios to submit their competition music electronically using the Music Manager.

• Music files can only be uploaded after entries have been registered.
• The Music Manager will assign the file names automatically once upload is complete. However, please label the file with the name of each performance.
• Please be sure to upload the exact version of your performance music, because pitch/speed of music cannot be adjusted at the event.
• KAR supports MP3, M4A, and MP4 files. The maximum file size is 20MB.
• Uploaded music files must be DRM free.
• Music Manager will be closed 3 - 5 days prior to the start of the competition. KAR will only use backup media formats (iPhone, USB) if there are technical difficulties. *Please see the countdown in your studio center for the exact closure date and time.
• KAR requires that all studios bring a backup USB for all performances in the event of a malfunction of the original music submitted. Music can be picked up at the registration table at the conclusion of each presentation of awards.
• Music files submitted on site will incur a $10 fee per performance.

SPECTATOR INFORMATION

SAFETY

KAR and the hosting facility are not responsible for any kind of damage, loss or injury sustained by contestants or spectators or their property while attending any area of the venue premises. Dancers competing take certain inherent risks when involved in any physical activity. Participation in this competition indicates the acceptance of such risks by the performers. Therefore, upon registration to any KAR event, it is agreed that participants will not hold Kids Artistic Revue, its directors or employees responsible for injuries that occur or illnesses that may be contracted during the competition event. Studio Owners/Directors agree to adhere to the Release of Liability Clause which is completed during the registration process.

Due to KAR being a public event, KAR encourages all attendees to:

• Supervise children at all times
• Be responsible for personal belongings
• Be aware of surroundings
• Inform a KAR employee of unsuitable or suspicious activity
• Stay safe and have fun while attending KAR events

Arrival & Check-In

Studios with performances in the first 10 scheduled acts should arrive fully prepared to perform, including costume, hair, and makeup.

All other performers should be checked in and ready to perform at least one hour before their scheduled performance time.

If the competition is running ahead of schedule, performances will continue in the published order. Dancers are expected to be backstage and ready to perform when called.

JUDGING AND SCORING CRITERIA

Studio Owners/Directors and Contestants must agree that all decisions of the panel of judges are final and cannot be contested. They must also agree that the time, manner, and method of judging the competition is at the discretion of Kids Artistic Revue. If a studio has any protests or complaints, the Studio Owner/Director must submit an “Infraction Review Form” to the Competition Director 30 minutes prior to an awards segment. In the event that an infraction was overlooked during a Regional Competition, it will be taken into account at National Finals. Score sheets will only be available to Studio Owners/Directors in the Studio Center within 5 days after the completion of the competition.

Each performance will be evaluated on the following five judging elements:

1.) Technique – 40 points total

2.) Stage Presence – 25 points total

3.) Execution of Performance – 20 points total

4.) Choreography – 10 points total

5.) Overall Impact – 5 points total

Production performances will be evaluated on the following judging elements:

1.) Technique – 30 points total

2.) Execution of Performance and Storyline – 25 points total

3.) Overall Entertainment Value & Stage Presence – 20 points total

4.) Execution of Choreography – 15 points total

5.) Overall Impact – 10 points total

There is a maximum of 100 points per judge and the total points attainable varies per level. If a dance, costume, or music is deemed inappropriate for family viewing by the judging panel, it will be scored lower by judges and will not be eligible for Overall High Point Awards. Ties will not be broken for the general competition awards, however, all exact ties will be broken for Overall High Point Awards by the judging panel.

REGIONAL TITLE COMPETITION

The Regional Title Competition is a special solo category where dancers are judged on technique, performance quality, and stage presence. It is open to Soloists in the INSPIRATIONAL, PRIMARY, SECONDARY, INTERMEDIATE, and ELITE levels who pre-register for their Regional Competition and appear in the final schedule. Solo performances added at the event or listed as Adjudication Only are ineligible to register for the Title Competition. Dancers ages 20 & above are ineligible to compete in the Title Competition. Studios can pre-register Soloists for Title in the Studio Center prior to the release of the final schedule OR register at the Regional Competition. Additionally, Title entries can be submitted online through the Parent Center once the final schedule is released. All Title entries—whether submitted online or onsite—must be received no later than one-hour prior to the scheduled performance. Soloists may enter multiple performances in the Title Competition. A separate entry fee will apply for each Title performance.

The Regional Title divisions are as follows:

INSPIRATIONAL KAR Mini Dance, Mr. Mini Dance and Miss Mini Dance: Soloists in the INSPIRATIONAL level, age 5 & under.

Please note that the 2026 November and December competitions are considered the beginning of the 2027 competition season. Therefore, the registered ages of all Title entries must be bumped up to the dancer’s age as of January 1, 2027.

Title performances will be evaluated on the following judging elements:

1.) Technique – 30 points total

2.) Overall Entertainment Value – 25 points total

3.) Stage Presence – 20 points total

4.) Execution of Choreography – 15 points total

5.) Overall Impact – 10 points total

There is a maximum of 100 points per judge for a total of 300 points. Title scores will be determined at the same time as the Solo performance. There will be two separate and unique score sheets; one for the Solo performance and one for the Title performance. Female winners will be presented with a Tiara and a Trophy. Male winners will be presented with a Cap and a Trophy. Gender neutral Title contestants have a choice of a Cap or Tiara and a Trophy. Each qualifying Title runner-up will receive a Tiara or Cap. All Regional winners and runners-up will receive an invitation to compete at the National Title Competition. If a performance violates any rule, a 5 point deduction will be applied to both the total cumulative score and the title score.

***IMPORTANT***

Once a dancer has qualified as a 2027 Regional Title winner, they are no longer eligible to register and compete for the Title Competition at any additional 2027 Regional events.

All 2027 Regional Title winners or runners up will be eligible to compete at the 2027 National Title Competition as long as the Studio registers at least 1 Group performance at National Finals. Only sponsored winners from countries outside of the United States are exempt from this rule.

All Soloists competing in the National Title Competition must be a 2027 Regional Title winner or runner-up. Studios can pre-register Soloists for Title in the Studio Center prior to the release of the final schedule OR register at the National Competition. Additionally, Title entries can be submitted online through the Parent Center once the final schedule is released. All Title entries, whether submitted online or onsite, must be received no later than one hour prior to the scheduled start time of the applicable age division. Qualifying Soloists may enter one or more performances in the National Title Competition as long as the Solo competed at a 2027 Regional Competition. A separate entry fee will apply for each National Title registration.

All 2026 National Title winners are ineligible to compete for the exact same Title at a 2027 Regional Competition. National Title winners may only re-compete the following season if they have moved up in age division and/or level. Any 2027 National Title winners cannot compete for an additional Title at another 2027 KAR National Finals.

POINT DEDUCTIONS & INELIGIBILITY

POINT DEDUCTIONS

The following rule violations will result in point deductions to the performance's cumulative score. Unless otherwise stated, all deductions are 5 points and are applied by the Competition Director and/or judging panel.

5 Point Deductions

• Violation of the KAR Acro/Gymnastic Skill Set Guidelines for the registered level
• Violation of the KAR Turn/Rotation Skill Guidelines for the registered level
• Exceeding the permitted maximum of 3 acro/gymnastic elements in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Clogging, Modern and Song and Dance category
• Exceeding the allotted number of 2 Performance Holds. Each additional Performance Hold may result in a 5 point deduction at the Competition Director's discretion
• Exceeding the allotted prop set-up and/or removal time
• Failure to clean the stage and return it to its original condition following a performance

Other Potential Deductions

• Exceeding the permitted performance time limits
• Use of any listed prohibited props
• Unauthorized use of Rosin
• Failure to comply with listed performance rules

OVERALL HIGH POINT INELIGIBILITY

The following violations do not result in a point deduction but will affect a performance's eligibility for Overall High Points Awards.

• Performances that exceed 10 acts from their scheduled performance time without prior approval
• Any performance that violates the safety prop height restrictions
• Incomplete performances
• Entries received after the release of the final schedule
• Any rule violation/infraction at National Finals
• Any incorrect registration or rule violation discovered after the competition has concluded may result in the forfeiture of awards, titles, gift certificates, and/or placements
• Group performances MUST perform in order of the final schedules at National Finals
• At National Finals, any modifications to a performance that alters the original level, High Point age division and/or performance type listed in the final
• Modifications to Star Showcase performances and/or performing out of final schedule order will result in ineligibility for National Grand Champion

GENERAL AWARDS

Each performance will receive a score from a panel of three judges at Regional Competitions and five to eight judges at National Finals.

General Awards are based on the composite score earned within each age division and are not category specific. As a result, multiple Elite Ultimate Performance, Elite Top First, Top First, and First Place awards may be presented within an age division.

Only Elite Level performances, Super Lines, and Productions are eligible for the Elite Ultimate Performance Award.

Performances competing outside of their originally scheduled performance time will receive their General Award at their assigned awards ceremony.

• Solos & Duet/Trios: One General Award per performer.
• Groups: One General Award per performance, plus an individual lapel pin for each dancer.

Dancers Against Cancer (DAC) Award Donation Program

Studios participating in the DAC Award Donation Program will not receive General Awards for Small Groups, Large Groups, Lines, Super Lines, or Productions. Instead, the value of those awards is donated to support the Dancers Against Cancer Foundation.

Studios may enroll in the DAC Award Donation Program through the Studio Center prior to the competition.

Overall High Point Awards

While General Awards are determined using an adjudicated scoring system, all eligible performances also compete for Overall High Point Awards within their age division and competitive level.

Grab & Go Group Awards

To streamline the awards ceremony and allow more time to recognize specialty awards and Overall High Point winners, KAR utilizes Grab & Go Group Awards for all Group performances.

Immediately following their performance, group dancers may visit the Grab & Go Awards Table to receive their General Awards.

Grab & Go Awards Include:

• Group Placement Results – General Award placements will be displayed on a TV located at the Grab & Go Awards Table.
• Lapel Pins – Each dancer will receive a commemorative lapel pin recognizing their performance.
• Group Award – Each group will receive a commemorative street sign celebrating their achievement.

Please note: In the event of technical difficulties, award distribution may be delayed.

OVERALL HIGH POINT AWARDS AND GIFT CERTIFICATES

SOLOS AND DUET/TRIOS: High Point Medals will be presented to the top scoring Soloists and Duet/Trios in the INSPIRATIONAL and PRIMARY levels. High Point Medals and full-tuition KAR Dance Convention Scholarships will be presented to the top scoring Soloists and Duet/Trio winners in the SECONDARY, INTERMEDIATE and ELITE levels.

GROUP PERFORMANCES: High Point Banners will be presented to the top scoring Groups and Lines in the INSPIRATIONAL, PRIMARY, SECONDARY and INTERMEDIATE levels. High Point Banners and Gift Certificates will be presented to the top scoring Groups and Lines in the ELITE level. High Point Banners and Gift Certificates will also be awarded to the highest scoring SUPER LINE and PRODUCTION winners.

The Overall scoring ELITE Groups, Super Line and Production performances will always receive Gift Certificates regardless of the number of entries in each division. All Gift Certificates will be available to redeem in the STUDIO CENTER within 5 days after the completion of the competition. No Gift Certificates will be awarded in the INSPIRATIONAL, PRIMARY, SECONDARY and INTERMEDIATE levels. This will also include the TEACHER/ADULT category. All Gift Certificates must be redeemed in the Studio Center within 30 days of the competition’s conclusion. Once redeemed, the value will be added to the studio’s virtual wallet and may be applied toward future competition entry fees, excluding the non-refundable deposit.

Overall High Point Awards will be presented to the following age divisions:

5 & Under (INSPIRATIONAL, PRIMARY and SECONDARY levels)

6-8 (INSPIRATIONAL, PRIMARY, SECONDARY, INTERMEDIATE and ELITE levels)

9-11 (INSPIRATIONAL, PRIMARY, SECONDARY, INTERMEDIATE and ELITE levels)

12-14 (INSPIRATIONAL, PRIMARY, SECONDARY, INTERMEDIATE and ELITE levels)

15-19 (INSPIRATIONAL, PRIMARY, SECONDARY, INTERMEDIATE and ELITE levels)

The 20 & Above TEACHER / ADULT category will not receive Overall High Point Awards.

***All acts must perform before their awards ceremony to be eligible for Overall High Point Awards. If an act does not compete on the scheduled day and time, only a General Award will be presented, unless pre-approved by the Customer Care Specialists or Competition Director. Entries received after the final schedule is released are for Adjudication Only, therefore, are ineligible for High Point Awards and the Title Competition.

Dancers who have more than one Solo can only place once in the Overall High Point Awards. The exact same Duet/Trio contestants may only place once in the Overall High Point Awards. Once the final schedule is released, should an act drop below the minimum number requirement for the Group size, the act may compete in the appropriate division and time for eligibility. Please contact the KAR office to arrange for a new performance time. Should an act drop below the minimum number requirement for the Group size during the competition, please contact the Competition Director on site to arrange for a new performance time. If the Overall High Point Awards have not yet been presented, the act may compete in the appropriate division and time for eligibility. However, if the Overall High Point Awards have been presented, the performance must compete for Adjudication Only.

Any routine that placed First Overall in the Overall High Point Awards at National Finals and/or was awarded National Grand Champion in the 2026 Star Showcase cannot compete with that exact routine at a 2027 Regional or National Finals Competition. To be considered the “exact routine”, the performance MUST (1) contain 75% of the original dancers and choreography (2) be registered in the same level and age division and (3) utilize the original music selection. Any entry that does not comply may be disqualified. KAR 2026 November Competitions are considered part of the 2027 competition season.

Any soloist who receives 1st Overall in a Top 10 Overall High Point division at National Finals must advance to the next higher level for the following season. This advancement rule applies only when a Top 10 Overall High Point division is awarded within the dancer’s age division. ***Any rule infraction, violation, or incorrect registration discovered after the competition has concluded may result in the forfeiture of placement, gift certificates, and/or titles awarded to that performance.

ADDITIONAL AWARDS

MOST PHOTOGENIC AWARD – These awards will be presented to the contestants judged to be most photogenic based on the following criteria: visual appeal, expressiveness of the dancer, age appropriateness, composition, lighting and quality of the photo. For each Regional Competition, there will be one Junior Most Photogenic winner (age 11 & Under) and one Senior Most Photogenic winner (age 12 & Above). All entries must submit a recent photo online through the Studio Center or Parent Center. All contestants must be registered at the Regional/National event to enter the Most Photogenic competition. Absolutely no mailed photos or hard copy photos will be accepted. Each winner will be announced and presented with a Plaque. At our National Finals, all photogenic entries must be in FULL-COLOR.

KAR CONVENTION SCHOLARSHIP – Scholarships are presented to one or more outstanding Soloists and Duet/Trio participants winning First Overall in the SECONDARY, INTERMEDIATE and ELITE levels. Each winner receives a full-tuition Scholarship to attend any of the 2027 KAR Dance Conventions. The KAR Dance Convention Scholarship is not valid for in-studio conventions, is non-transferrable and cannot be redeemed for studio credit. BEST COSTUME AWARD – These awards will be presented to Group performances in each of the PRIMARY, SECONDARY, INTERMEDIATE and ELITE levels based on design, originality, fit and appropriateness. All Group and Line entries are eligible for this award. Best Costume winners will receive a Plaque.

MOST ENTERTAINING AWARD – These awards will be chosen by the panel of judges and presented to Groups and/or Lines deemed to be most entertaining in the PRIMARY, SECONDARY, INTERMEDIATE and ELITE levels. Most Entertaining winners will receive a Plaque.

JUDGES’ CHOICE AWARDS – These awards will be presented to Groups and/or Lines displaying standout qualities during their performances in the PRIMARY, SECONDARY and INTERMEDIATE levels. Each winning act will receive Lapel Pins and a Plaque. At National Finals, the ELITE level is also eligible for these awards.

ALL STAR DANCERS INVITATIONS – The recipients of these awards are invited to participate in one or both of our exciting summer All Star Dancer experiences in Hollywood and New York City! All dancers 9 years of age & above from the PRIMARY, SECONDARY, INTERMEDIATE and ELITE levels are eligible for this award. These special invitations are presented to All Star Dancers that display a passion for performing on stage. Winners will receive an informational brochure with details of these amazing events.

STUDIO OF EXCELLENCE AWARD – The Studio of Excellence Award will be presented to the studio that is represented MOST in the High Point Awards in the PRIMARY, SECONDARY, INTERMEDIATE and ELITE levels. To be eligible for this award, a studio must have a minimum of one act represented in the Solo, Duet/Trio, Small Group and Large Group/Line divisions that perform in the same level of competition. In the event of a tie, the award will be presented to the studio with the highest ranking. The winning studio in PRIMARY, SECONDARY and INTERMEDIATE level will receive a custom Banner. The ELITE STUDIO OF EXCELLENCE AWARD winner will receive a custom Banner and a complimentary trip to Las Vegas, NV to attend the KAR Productions Dance Competition Educators’ Summit (The trip is only awarded at Regionals). The same criteria listed above will determine the awards at National Finals.

IDA (Industry Dance Awards) PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD – This award is presented to a Small Group, Large Group, Line, Super Line or Production that the judges feel best represents the entire competition with exceptional talent, choreography and showmanship. The winner will receive a special award. All Regional IDA People’s Choice Award winners will be featured on industrydanceawards.com and considered for selection as one of the Top 5 Finalists for 2027. These Top 5 Finalists will advance to a nationwide public vote, where one will be selected as the official KAR IDA People’s Choice nominee. The official nominee will then move on to the final voting round, with the winner announced live at the 2027 Industry Dance Awards & Cancer Benefit Show.

IDA (Industry Dance Awards) OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE AWARDS – These awards are selected from the ELITE level Groups and Lines ages 12 & above with the highest Overall score in the following categories:

Best Hip-Hop Performance

Best Lyrical / Modern / Contemporary Performance

Best Novelty / Character / Musical Theater Performance

All IDA Outstanding Performance winners will receive a special award. These weekly winners will be in the running to be nominated for the 2027 Industry Dance Awards. The official IDA Outstanding Performance nominees will be announced on industrydanceawards.com. The IDA Outstanding Performance Award winners will be announced at the live 2027 Industry Dance Awards & Cancer Benefit Show.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT NATIONAL FINALS:

• IMPORTANT: At National Finals, if a performance violates any rules or receives any infractions, the performance will be ineligible for the Overall High Point Awards and Star Showcase.
• At National Finals, any rule violation by a title soloist will result in a 5 point deduction from their overall title score.
• Studios that qualified Regionally at a Rainbow, Refresh or Ultra Competition and are attending a KAR National Finals, MUST have registration reviewed by the office to ensure correct level placement.
• Please note there may be GROUP performances scheduled on the FIRST day of Competition. A projected schedule will be posted at minimum 30 days in advance for planning purposes.
• Each act that performs will receive a score from a panel of five to eight predetermined judges and the highest and lowest scores are dropped to determine the cumulative score.
• The Top 3 Overall High Point Award winners in each division will receive a Cash Prize in the PRIMARY, SECONDARY and INTERMEDIATE levels. Cash Prizes will only be presented in divisions with 3 or more eligible acts.
• ELITE level performances, Super Lines and Productions will receive Cash Prizes regardless of the number of entries.
• All performances are expected to perform in program order. Group performances MUST perform in the order listed on the final competition schedules unless otherwise approved by the Competition Director. Failure to comply may result in ineligibility for Overall High Point Awards and Star Showcase.
• In the event of multiple stages at a National event, if there is a scheduling conflict an exception to the performance order rule may be made at the Competition Director’s discretion.
• NO “Performance Holds” will be granted at National Finals.
• For National Finals, substitution of dancers from the Regional qualifying entry is permitted in all divisions/categories except Solos. Performances must consist of at least 75% of the original dancers from the Regional qualifying entry. When substituting dancers in a performance, be aware that any modifications may change the level or average age. Any dancers substituted remain subject to the Regional leveling and qualifying rules. All music must remain the same.
• At National Finals, any modifications to a performance that alters the original level, High Point age division and/or performance type listed in the final schedule will be deemed Adjudication Only (extenuating circumstances will be left to Directors discretion).
• Any routine that placed First Overall in the Overall High Point Awards at National Finals and/or was awarded National Grand Champion in the 2026 Star Showcase cannot compete with that exact routine at a 2027 Regional or National Finals Competition. To be considered the “exact routine”, the performance MUST (1) contain 75% of the original dancers and choreography (2) be registered in the same level and age division and (3) utilize the original music selection. Any entry that does not comply may be disqualified. KAR 2026 November Competitions are considered part of the 2027 competition season.
• The ELITE level is also eligible for Judges’ Choice awards at National Finals.
• Each Studio of Excellence winner at National Finals will be awarded a Cash Prize and a Studio of Excellence Banner.
• Awards NOT presented at National Finals are as follows: All Star Dancers, KAR Convention Scholarships, IDA Outstanding Performance Awards and IDA People’s Choice Award.

NATIONAL TITLE COMPETITION:

• The 2027 National Title Competition will be judged simultaneously with the dancers' National Solo Performance(s) in the INSPIRATIONAL, PRIMARY, SECONDARY, INTERMEDIATE, and ELITE levels. All Solos competing in the National Title Competition must be a 2027 Regional Title winner or runner-up and must be listed in the final competition schedule. Qualifying Soloists may enter one or more performances in the National Title Competition as long as the Solo competed at a 2027 Regional Competition. A separate entry fee will apply for each National Title registration.
• All 2027 Regional Title winners and Title runners-up will be eligible to compete for the 2027 National Title Competition as long as the Studio registers at least 1 Group performance at National Finals. Only sponsored winners from countries outside of the United States are exempt from this rule.
• All 2027 National Title winners are ineligible to compete at another 2027 KAR Finals or compete in the exact same Title division for the 2027 competition season. National Title winners may only re-compete the following season if they have moved up in age division and/or level.
• Studios can pre-register Soloists for National Title in the Studio Center prior to the release of the final schedule OR register at the National Competition. Additionally, National Title entries can be submitted online through the Parent Center once the final schedule is released.
• All National Title entries, whether submitted online or onsite, must be received no later than one hour prior to the scheduled start time of the applicable age division.

All National Title contestants will receive a participation Tiara. Female runners-up will be presented with a Tiara and Sash. Male runners-up will be presented with a Cap and Sash. Gender neutral runners-up have a choice of a Cap or Tiara and receive a Sash. National Title winners will be presented with a Tiara or Cap, Trophy, Sash and a Cash Prize. There must be a total of 3 contestants entered into the competing Title division in order for the full Cash Prize to be awarded ELITE level National Title Winners will receive Cash Prizes regardless of the number of Title entries.

DAC PARENT DANCE CHALLENGE

The DAC Parent Dance Challenge is a special 2 minute exhibition performance opportunity for dance parents and family members to perform at Nationals while supporting Dancers Against Cancer (DAC). Performances are not adjudicated, and the Grand Champion is determined by the highest fundraising total raised for DAC. All entries are complimentary, with 100% of funds raised benefiting Dancers Against Cancer.

STAR SHOWCASE – NATIONAL FINALS ONLY

At National Finals, the Top 5 scoring Groups, and/or Lines in the following age divisions in the PRIMARY, SECONDARY, and INTERMEDIATE levels will be invited to participate in the 2027 Star Showcase. In the ELITE level only, the Top 5 scoring Small Groups, the Top 5 scoring Large Groups and the Top 5 Elite Lines in the following age divisions will compete in the 2027 Star Showcase. These top scoring performances will re-compete for National Grand Champion in each level and age division. Only one Group per studio can qualify in each Grand Champion division. In the event there is a tie between 2 studios, both performances will then qualify for Star Showcase; ties will not be broken.

The 26 National Grand Champion divisions are as follows:

PRIMARY - Ages: 5 and Under, 6-8, 9-11, 12-14 and 15-19

SECONDARY - Ages: 5 and Under, 6-8, 9-11, 12-14 and 15-19

INTERMEDIATE - Ages: 6-8, 9-11, 12-14 and 15-19

ELITE SMALL GROUP - Ages: 6-8, 9-11, 12-14 and 15-19

ELITE LARGE GROUP - Ages: 6-8, 9-11, 12-14 and 15-19

New for 2027 - ELITE LINE - Ages: 6-8, 9-11, 12-14 and 15-19

All Star Showcase performances will receive a participation Banner. The highest ranked performance in each Grand Champion division will be awarded a Cash Prize and a National Grand Champion Trophy. Star Showcase Finalists will receive a Cash Prize for qualifying and participating. The Overall highest scoring Super Line and the highest scoring Production are invited to re-perform for exhibition only at the 2027 Star Showcase.

***Once a Group is announced as a qualified performance in the Star Showcase, NO modifications can be made to the combination of performers, level, age division, performance type, props or music. Substitutions can only be made in the instance of illness or injury, as long as the level AND age of the performance remain the same.

**Modifications to Star Showcase performances and/or performing out of final schedule order will result in ineligibility for National Grand Champion.

ADDITIONAL AWARDS FOR NATIONAL FINALS

NATIONAL MOST PHOTOGENIC AWARDS – Most Photogenic winners will be judged based on the same Regional criteria. All Most Photogenic entries for Finals must be in FULL – COLOR. Each winner will be presented with a Plaque and a Cash Prize.

CHOREOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR AWARDS – These esteemed awards will be presented to the choreographers who have displayed exceptional choreography with their Group and Line performances at National Finals. The performances with the most nominations by the panel of judges will be deemed the winners. Each winner will be presented with a custom award at the Star Showcase.

STUDIO OF THE YEAR AWARD – These prestigious awards are presented to the studios who receive the highest total of Top 5 High Point Awards at National Finals. Each winner will be presented with a custom award at the Star Showcase.

STUDIO SPIRIT AWARD – This honorable award will be presented to the studio displaying the most studio spirit, enthusiasm and exceptional sportsmanship. The recipient will be presented with a Cash Prize and a Studio Spirit Banner at the Star Showcase.

FUTURE STAR AWARD – This extraordinary award is presented to an individual dancer who displays exceptional dance abilities, showmanship and is a role model because of their superb sportsmanship and support of others. The recipient will receive a custom award and a Cash Prize at the Star Showcase.

GRADUATING SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP – This exemplary award is presented to one or more graduating seniors who have excelled both on and off the stage. To be eligible for this award, a dancer must complete the official application process on our website https://dancekar.wufoo.com/forms/2027-kar-senior-scholarship-application/. The dancer must also be registered and participate at a National event. The winner of each Scholarship is selected by the KAR Scholarship Committee. Each recipient will be presented with a $500 Scholarship at the Star Showcase.
